The next free update to our LDS Scriptures app has just been approved by Apple. This new update enhances some of the base functionality of the app as well as fixes bugs, enhances existing features, adds new features, and providers tighter integration with LDSScripturesApp.com

Here are the release notes:

Features Added:
• The toolbar located at the bottom of the screen while reading can now be slid to the left or right to reveal more functions.
• Emailing documents! The new function added to the toolbar in this release is a toolbar icon that will allow you to email whatever chapter/document is currently being displayed. The emailed document will contain all the notes and highlights as well (both whole verse highlights and individual word highlighting). You must have the 3.0 version of the iPhone OS installed for this function to work as it uses features only available in that OS. If you don't have 3.0 installed, everything except the email feature will continue to operate normally.
• Anytime a verse is navigated to the app should now display the screen which gives you full access to auto-scrolling, highlighting, annotation, etc. This will allow you to highlight while viewing references, etc.
• When a search is performed and you navigate to a search result you may now press the back button to return to the list of search results. Remember that you may continue to use the up/down arrows to easily iterate through search results as well.
• If you assign a custom name to a bookmark the short name is now used for the original reference ("D&C" instead of "Doctrine & Covenants", etc).

"My Library" enhancements:
• When you sync your phone with LDSScripturesApp.com the app doesn't delete unsubscribed content from your phone like in the previous release. This will now allow you to load as much content on your device as you desire.
• Verse slider support! Our unique verse slider now works with all content with the exception of PDF files. We are hoping to be able to add verse slider support to PDF files in a future release.
• You can now search for and subscribe to content from directly within the app. Tap on the search icon at the top of the "My Library" section
• Swipe to delete support. If you swipe and delete content from the My Library section the app will automatically attempt to unsubscribe from the content on LDSScriputresApp.com at the same time.
• Reading in landscape mode is now supported

Bugs Fixed:
• Fixed transferring of My Library content. Transfer as much content at once as you want.
• While reading, the first time night mode is toggled by touching the screen with three fingers a message is displayed explaining what happened and how to return to normal mode
• Various fixes for the toolbar not working correctly when rotating into landscape mode while reading
• Fixed possible crash when navigating to a custom reference
• Altered the search mode type buttons to better show the selected mode
