Apple just approved the 4.1 update for the LDS Scriptures for iPad app. Here are the release notes:

PDF Enhancements:
You can now download PDF files directly from the Church and have them loaded into the app. View the scriptures, manuals, study guides, seminary manuals, CES manuals and even the hymns in the exact format as your printed ones! All of the books even use the table of contents from each PDF file to allow you to drill down into books, sections, and individual lessons easily (drill-down is limited to what the Church provides in each PDF file). See the end of these notes for a list of all of the content added. To view the PDF items available for downloading, tap the "PDFs" button in the Library within the app. Tap it again to toggle back to the Text list of items.

Other Features added:
• Backup and Restore (you can use this to restore an iPhone backup to the iPad). Fully automated data synchronization is coming soon!
• Full-screen mode when viewing PDF files
• Dual-page view when viewing PDF files in full-screen mode (rotate the device into landscape mode)

Issues Fixed:
• Missing Search icon
• Search filter button not working the first time
• Verse slider in My Library becoming disabled
• Fixed crash if the autoscroll or highlighting button was pressed when viewing items from My Library
• Fixed issue with closing the autoscroll and highlight toolbars
• Enabled verse selection when drilling down through the scriptures hierarchy. It now matches the iPhone/iPod Touch functionality.
• Fixed issue with not being restored to the correct location when opening the app or using the back/forward navigation buttons.
