Highlighting control

I know this has probably been addressed before and is probably being addressed currently, but I thought I would gather all my "highlighting" feature ideas into one topic. Here is what I would like:

1. Have the ability to specify the highlighting style for links and how they should behave when combined with personal highlighting.
2. Have the ability to have a set of named personal highlighting styles from which I can quickly switch between. This way I could have a highlighting style for "scripture mastery" and another for "priesthood", and another for just emphasis. I know you have tags, but the app does not show any indication that something has been tagged like it does for notes.
3. Have the ability to change the attributes of the named style and have all the passages marked in that style update automatically.
4. Have the ability to navigate to and/or search for verses with a specified highlighting style.
5. Have the ability to highlight My Library items (even if just for html documents)
6. Have the ability to specify the behavior when multiple highlight styles are applied on top of each other (replace or combine). I could see someone using a background color for one style and underline for another and being able to combine the two. I realize combining is not generally useful, so I would be content with replacing the style.
7. Have the ability to adjust the shades of colors from the color palette. I have wanted to "tweak" that red color for a long time.

I believe that while giving the user the highlighting palette (background, foreground, underline/bold/italics) is useful at times, I would much prefer a list I could choose from. I generally have a small set of marking styles and choosing a named set would be as fast or faster than reselecting attributes.

The number of style sets could be fixed, but I think it would have to be around a dozen or two to please people. I could easily use four to six.

Oh, by the way, thanks for the totally awesome app. I have generated a number of sales for you though personal recommendations and demonstrations.

i like your idea of naming

i like your idea of naming highlighting styles. that would be a really nice thing (i have no idea how this could be implemented on the menu bar, or even carried out for that matter). although i would like to be able to select the style, and then continue to make changes to the highlighted scripture. that way if i want to put a word or two in bold for emphasis, i still can. in addition to that, i think i nice feature would be to select certain tags to automatically tag scriptures that you highlight using the named highlighting style (if that makes sense). highlighting is great, and tagging is great, but i find myself constantly highlighting and tagging since that is the only way to conveniently access highlights that i have made in a logical manner. the menu to access a list of all your highlights has no use for me since all i see is a huge list of scriptures. that screen might be better served if you had an option to see a list of your highlighting styles and then where able to select a style to see all the scriptures marked in that way.
