Now that the major bugs have been taken care of, I would like to report one that has been annoying me for some time. I like to to use Auto Scroll when reading the scriptures. While reading with Auto Scroll, if I want to reset the reading angle (Tilt Scroll) or the pace (Timed Scroll), I touch the screen to get the Auto Scroll bar back and it jumps back to the verse I started. (Referenced in yellow.) IOW, if I start where I bookmarked, which verse is highlighted in yellow, start Auto Scroll, want to change the angle of Tilt or pace of Timed, touch the screen to reset, it jumps back to the highlighted verse. Or if I just go through the menu to a verse and do this, it jumps back to the verse from which I started reading.
This gets very annoying, as I am not particularly paying attention to the verse numbers to go back to where I was. I'm reading a long chapter and decide to change the angle and it jumps back to the beginning of the chapter. Now I have to scan through all the text to figure out where I was. Shoot, even with short chapters this is annoying. I shouldn't have to go back to where I immediately was every time just because I'm tweaking the speed of Auto Scroll.
I think this has been happening ever since scrolling went to full screen. Personally, I don't care if it is full screen or not as when you are reading with Auto Scroll, I am focused on the middle of the screen reading a line anyway, so full screen becomes more eye candy than functional. I just want this fixed because the very inherent part of using Auto Scroll is adjusting the pace. Unless you are extremely lucky and bulls eye your reading pace from the beginning. Or don't change your reading posture. Or don't ever read difficult scriptural passages.
FWIW, I've discovered that it
FWIW, I've discovered that it behaves correctly when viewing in landscape.
Hellooooooooo ooooooooouuuuuut therrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrree
ADDENDUM: I take that back. Same aberrant behavior in landscape view as well.
The worst part is when you
The worst part is when you are reading and moving along and well into a chapter then you want to mark a verse so you close Autoscroll to do that and BOING! it goes right back to the beginning and now you have to find the verse that you wanted to highlight. Annoying.
I get this, too, but I was
I get this, too, but I was not able to characterize the issue. I would second the comment on "Full Screen". You don't really get that many extra lines, and I do find myself making "micro" adjustments to the scroll rate all the time. Also, if I am in full screen and come to the end of the chapter, going back to the controls covers the end of the chapter causing it to auto-scroll again (not major, and I am not sure where to anchor the reduced screen) I do love having the ability to pause/flip back/flip forward with the wave of a finger. I would vote for having non-Full Scrren all the time, or an option to turn it off.
