I finally had a few spare moments this evening so I installed the new version of the Apple development environment and got LDS Scriptures running in it. It took less than 10 minutes (probably closer to 5) to fix a few misc. errors and get it running in the iPad simulator. Everything is already running correctly on the iPad with the exception of the search screen. I'll have to do a little work there with the search options toolbar and the filters, but that should be minimal.
I will say the screen is HUGE compared to what I'm used to seeing on the iPhone/iPod Touch (I can't wait for the higher resolution versions of them to come out), and there's definitely a lot of improvement that can be made concerning screen real estate. These pictures don't include any of the new controls or enhancements that are available on the iPad that we'll probably end up adding to the iPad version before its release. In addition, these are probably the only pictures we'll release of the iPad version until the final version is available on the AppStore. Note: we, as developers, can't discuss any of the specifics of the iPad until it's about to be released. So, if you ask any questions about the iPad and I don't answer them, that's why.
Here's a few pictures of just the app running, in case you're curious:
